Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist - Dr David GartlanDavid was raised and educated in Hobart graduating from the University of Tasmania Medical School in 1994. Following two years in New South Wales and Queensland hospitals he worked in General Practice in Southern Tasmania. David completed Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at the Royal Hobart Hospital with other clinical work at the Launceston General Hospital and the North West Regional Hospital. He continues to contribute to the teaching of student midwives, medical students and doctors in training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. David is married with three children and from a well known Southern Tasmanian medical family which has provided women's health care to the region since the early 1960's. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening and nature. |  |
